9/23 - 9/29
EXTRA CREDIT: Stayed after and helped [Wednesday, Sept. 25] for Parents Night
DOCUMENTATION:
WORK: 3.75 hours/2 hours
REFLECTION: I'm unsure if people that had the SAT Bootcamp were supposed to blog those nights, as it ended the 7PM territory, but I did anyway, just to be on the safe side. Every single blog that I post will always be over the required time because I'm the type of person to do bulk work. And either 1. I get lost or 2. I dislike that I haven't met my task. This time around, same with last weeks blogs, I realized I'm a lot slower at this than I thought. When I did CAPTOR pages during summer, the time and work whizzed by really quickly. Only now, when I have certain time restrictions such as when to go to bed and when to get up the following morning, on top of mixing in academic homework, I realized it's kind of a struggle being able to do so much within only half an hour each day. Previously I accounted that it takes 10-15 minutes to sketch and write dialogue for a page, and with line work it can range from 20-40 minutes per page.
AOG: On task. The goal to reach this week was to outline at least half of the pages of CH4 which happened to be only nine. The only worry I now have is that CH4 is only 18 pages [19 including the end of chapter page] and when the script was written it was only about three pages, meanwhile the script for CH5 is five pages long. It took me nearly four hours to outline nine pages, so being able to finish both chapters is going to be a difficult goal. I have already realized I cannot do it within the 30 minutes per 5 days, and thus I tend to exceed the time limit [though there's never anything wrong with working extra on comics and getting more done in advance]. I'm planning to work more on this on Sunday to both get ahead on my blogs for next week and be able to make space between updates and pages I complete. As of now I'm currently 12 weeks ahead via posting [not including tomorrow's update].
